"Hillary Clinton", "lawyerly brilliance", "And the Republicans looked like weenies"!

I don't think Hillary Clinton ever intended to make the Benghazi incident a step up and over the metaphorically bloodied bodies of her opposition towards nomination in 2016.

I do believe that the ONLY thing the right in Congressional hearings had in mind was to attempt to impair that advancement, if she chooses to go that route, as well as in the case of a few, to try to advance their own political agenda and careers.

Even the right agrees the right wing nuts and extremists in Congress scored an epic FAIL. In so many ways I want to like and approve of John McCain for his war heroism.  There are moments where he genuinely seems to follow his conscience on issues like the unfounded and unjustified attacks on Sec State Clinton's assistant, Huma Abedin, or his opposition to waterboarding and other torture under the euphemism of 'enhanced interrogation' (it's torture).  But then he goes off the rails on other issues, like this one, where he skips briefings, and/or apparently gets crazy misinformation and disinformation (the distinction is the latter is intentional deception) instead of the facts, and doesn't know when to quit, doesn't recognize he is digging himself a deeper hole in which to bury himself and his credibility.

Thanks to our occasional reader and commenter, the inestimable Microdot over at The Brain Police Blog for featuring the following clip and commentary - well done!

A fairly ironic clip from Bill O' who was trying to get  Fox News military analyst Lt. Col. Ralph Peters (ret.) , who has certainly not been known for his affection for progressives and liberalism, to criticize Hillary Clintons testimony at the Benghazi Senate Sideshow Hearings yesterday. He only had praise for Clinton’s performance. “I came away with deeper respect for Hillary Clinton’s bureaucratic lawyerly brilliance,” Peters said. “I mean she was just tough and good and the Republicans looked like weenies:”
It really gives you cause for reflection when someone flirting with serious senility issues, like John McCain is able to highjack foreign policy when in the real world, if he had a real job, his employers would be forced to take out a very special insurance policy just in case he tried to operate a Nespresso Machine.
The real loser, aside form the Republican Wisconsin Senator, Ron Johnson who seemed to have had Hillary hand him his testicles in a paper sack, was Rand Paul, who seemed to be lost in his delusions of grandeur as he slipped deeper and deeper into his krazy konservative konspiracy theory alternative universe. I think this little video sums up Rand and his 2016 Presidential fantasies......

Below is Microdot's impression of Ayn Rand Paul wanting to be the top of the ticket candidate in 2016:

Where I go for the more straight up videos that indicate his ambitions for 2016.

In the next video clip, he addresses 2016 about 4 minutes in:
